A shadow resist set for Mother Sharhaz? (any pieces?) Bracers (40) and belt (54).

What is your trinket set-up? Do you need any obvious upgrades? (DST, HSH, etc?) I use Hex-Shrunken Head and Icon of the Silver Crescent. If I replace Icon with The Skull of Gul'dan then I won't need any further upgrades.

Where are you from? (do you speak/understand English well?) Washington State, English is the only language I speak.

How old are you? 20

Do you have a mic/headset for vent? Yes.

Do you have Grid, XPerl, PallyPower, or some other UI that helps you buff, pick up loose aggro, etc? Nope, none needed.

Raid Experience: I know all the fights in Kara, Gruul, Mags, SSC, TK, and up to Bloodboil in BT. Played Pre-bc also. Everything up to the first boss in BWL.

Guild History: The Dark Allegience was my first guild that I joined when I started 2 years ago. That Guild was the first guild I joined when TBC came out. I took a 4 month break after I came back I joined Fac Ut Vivas which didn't progress in raiding for months and was stuck at Karazhan, so I quit and joined iRaid which is the guild I'm in now. I'm leaving them because I can't make raid times anymore.

Acknowledgment of agreement to our rules and times: I'm fully aware and understand all of Damage Dones' rules and times.

Preparedness for the next scheduled raid, unless stated here: Yes I would upon joining.

Reason(s) for applying: Can't make my guilds raid times anymore, which are at 5 in the morning.

Final Thoughts, why you would be a good addition to Damage Done: I study up on fights, I do the research, I'm good at playing my class, I do everything that is required for raids, I'm also friendly and I get along easily with people. I have known Baked for quite some time now. We have become good internet friends. TBH he has to be the best mage I know. He puts out great dps and knows how to play his class very well. TBH he is the only person who I think can beat Amal on interrupts on ROS. (yeah that good)

Here's my notes:

The gear looks pretty fair, but there are a few choices I question. First off, the 12 crit/3% crit damage meta is the best one for mage dps. Secondly I'm curious as to why you don't have Soulfrost or Sunfire on your weapon. Soulfrost is an extra 14 damage and Sunfire is an extra 10 and both are worth putting on a good weapon such as the Fang. I'm sure you're probably aware that the 20 spell penetration enchant to cloak isn't the best - Subtlety is by far the top choice for you at the moment.

Because you aren't hitcapped, socketing that isn't for hit in some places seems strange, though admittedly if you were to stay 40/0/21, the hitcap for frost is bugged at 126, and you are well over that. However, I wouldn't count on that continuing to be the case (especially after next tuesday). I'm sure the other mages would like to see your spec/weapon enchant/some gems change before they took you along.

and yes, petrus is right, frost is hit capped at 126 (10%) due to the "ghost hit," or whatever you want to call it, mechanic (yay binary spells!) In other words, swap out some hit for haste or haste/dmg gems imo.

I like the crit/dmg gem in the demonsoul wand. Amal, your thoughts?

I could use the crit one for my meta gem, I was just looking for more int, which gives me more spell damage also, given my spec. Plus the extra mana is good for being arcane, it can be very mana draining.

I only enchanted 40 spell damage cause I thought I would be replacing it sooner rather then later.

Yeah, I'm aware of my cloak enchant, haven't sat down and farmed 8 primal shadows yet. I'll get on that asap.

Unless specifically needed for a boss fight, I did plan on staying 40/0/21. It's done wonders for me and I can play it perfect. I've already played the beta, and tested my spec there, the only flaw is that they lowered the debuff time of arcane blast, which is the only reason I'm reconsidering staying arcane/frost once the new talent tree's come out.

I've been out dps'd by the "top dps spec" once. And the mage had 6/8 t6.

Simple truth is that Arcane Frost isn't viable past the beginning stages of T6. There is no place for it whatsoever in WotLK (in terms of serious raiding).
