[APPROVED] Primary - BM Hunter

Hi, I'm Primary. I was advised by several people to start off this application by being completely honest, regardless of what it will do to my chances. I am Shelarahn, and I do apologize for being such a moron during my COMMUNISM days. Admittedly 99% of it was jealousy, not only for the fact that a legendary PvP guild suddenly progressed further than a PvE guild. I have grown up a lot in the past few months, and I don't do near as much stupid stuff as I used to. I know that alot of people in this guild may completely hate me, but I promise to not do anything to further piss someone off, and will do my best to repair any bit of respect I have left.

Pre-BC: I raided everything in old world content up to Twin Emperors
BC: So far in BC I have raided everything in SSC/TK, up to Kaz'rogal in Hyjal, and have read all the BT fights, and did Kalecgos on the PTRs

Acknowledgment of agreement to our rules and times. I can make 100% of raid times, even for ones I get benched for

Two major upgrades to your gear for your class/spec from MH/BT: Archimonde or Illidan Bow, and Cursed Vision of Sargeras

A short guild history: (This is just a list of guilds Primary has been in)
Kill Order - Was kicked for being a moron in Trade
Guns for Hire - Just a group of IRL friends that does Kara and ZA

The reason you are applying to Damage Done: I've always wanted to be in DD, and would love to raid with a competent guild for once. Also, I want to be able to harass Secondary more.

Finally, tell us in one or two sentences why you would be a good addition to Damage Done: Surprisingly, I am a fairly decent hunter. I put forth 110% whenever is needed, always come prepared, and will stay regardless of how many wipes it takes to progress.

As much as an idiot Shela has been in the past, he has always known what he is doing, and like he said - he's cut down on the bullshit. So now pretty much all that's left is a guy that knows what he's doing with a tad bit of assery. I believe he would be an good backup hunter at least. Just my two cents.

Shelarahn has been a good friend of mine in WoW for quite a while. He has been a complete douchebag to many people, many times, but I will vouch for him that he has grown up a lot, he is a good player, and if you talk to him outside of the public eye he is a really good guy.

He has calmed down a lot, all I ask is to either take his app into consideration, or at least go easy on him.

Your gear has a number of very significant upgrades from kara/za/badges.

1. Get master assassin's wristwraps from badges, they are the best you can get until BT and cheap.
2. Vengeful Hat. Best in game until Forest Prowler's.
3. Legacy is good, but the s3 stat stick is very very good, and cheap.
4. Ebon Netherscale hurts my eyes.
5. I'm short on time so I'm not looking shit up, but the neck hurts.
6. Hourglass would be a solid upgrade over the hit trinket.
7. Sunfury isn't bad, but the flower bow (unfortunately) is better if you can afford the badge investment.

You are undergeared. Get in ZA and even kara for a few slots. Badge vendor. Etc.

the badge neck, choker of vile intent I think, is better. Its similar to the one off attumen which Im still using.

Yeah Ebon Netherscale is pretty crap, but I made the two pieces Pre-2.4 before the good mail chest from Kael'thas.
I've been working on getting the two Vengeful pieces but finding an arena team that isnt a bunch of morons is painful.
And yes, the neck is painful, I've been holding out of the Attunmen neck but it hates me

I can vouch for shela as well,hes not a bad guy once you get to know him and he does some purty good damage.

My modeling is showing a dps gain for 5/5 frenzy 1/2 AH over 4/5 frenzy 2/2 AH. About half a percent dps difference.

Now I'm going to need to track down that EJ thread...

It appears that from a pets crit chance of ~8.4% to ~32.2% 5/5 frenzy 1/2 AH is superior assuming cobra reflexes, level 73 mob, and a single roll attack table.

FYI, I upated alot of my gear, putting me at 1905 AP with Hawk

Doesn't seem like too bad of a player when I've partied with him, and he seems to know his stuff, on whatever character he's playing. Plus he makes Secondary make sense!

From your armory, you are over hit cap by almost 1%. Do you have an hourglass? Your crit is pretty darn low.

And the spec thing... it's like .5% dps difference on your pet. So that's like... 1.5-2 dps? I wouldn't worry too much.

Unfortunatly I do not have an hourglass, it won't drop, but its not like I can't farm for it

But what really doesn't make sense to me is why, suddenly, when we're about to kill Illidan, you suddenly have a massive change of heart and decided to try and make amends. I believe you truly are apologetic and mean the things you say, and I realize it takes a certain amount of balls to post here after the shit you slang our way, but I don't necessarily believe that your past is behind you.

What if you got into the guild? Now do we suddenly see your asshattery on the public forums (or public channels) directed at someone else (Elis? Deep Blue? Umbral?)? It's clearly convenient to fling poo at other guilds, but we try to maintain a low profile. I know you troll the boards a lot and probably saw that logghorea from Charlamagne a few weeks back. Guess how long he lasted in this guild after that.

I'm not going to say 'no' right off the bat. You'll get the same due process as every other applicant gets around here (even the ones who app when we don't need the class). We'll talk it over and make a decision, based upon feedback from the guild, your responses in this thread, and our overall vibe, but you should understand that actions speak far louder than words and I would be lying if I said your past will have no part in your evaluation.

You bring up a good point, but a lot has happened in the past few months (and I beleive secondary and serayne will back me up) that has revealed to me that being an ass (Both online and IRL, i.e. Losing 3/4s of my closest friends and 3 girlfriends) is getting me nowhere fast. So to sum up and try and explain myself here, Ill make a few points about everything you pointed out about me.

1. Yes, everything I said about DD was mainly just jealousy, and the fact that you stole all my friends from my guild that I was trying to make because I'm a horrible guild leader and as Arkon and Spaceballs would have put it "A Power tripping Rape Ape". I have never really hated DD, I was just more lashing out against what I saw as a threat to not only my power, but my friendships.

2. The whole thing with Middlestairs. First off, contrary to popular belief I did NOT ask him to make that post, nor did I have any hand its conception. In fact, Middlestairs and I are no longer friends as of last night after I told him about my application and he proceeded to go on a spiel about how Damage Done has shit hunters, and I had to remind him that he was towed throught content only because Kelkoo begged for Months Behind to accept him and let him go on farm nights, then transferred to Illidan and got royal humiliated by Troxxed and the entirety of War Ensemble.

3. In all honesty, I actually don't even have any public channels enabled on any of my characters, just to avoid the occasional temptation to yell at someone or call them a God Hating Liberal(I.e. Petrus), and I haven't even visited the public forums in a few weeks, except at one point to make a rude comment towards Kill Order.

4. About Charlamagne. I remember him from COMMUNISM, he was the guy we ginvite, saw our gchat, and then reported everyone and gquit only to join VANQUISHED (One of the short lived COMMUNISM offshoot guilds.) I would NEVER pull that shit, just because someone gets a good guild tag, doesn't give anyone the right to automatically assume they are better than someone else and then proceed to slander the living hell out of them and their entire family. And as to tearing on other guilds? I have nothing but respect for Deep Blue, Elis, and Umbral. The only high end Horde guild I have a problem with is Kill Order, and thats only because I saw the inner workings, and I've tried calling them out on their stupidity on several different occasions, but people are starting to realize this and I think my job is done

5. I know the timing of my application seems suspicious, but I'm not here for loot, or glory, or whatever. I'm just here to kill shit and raid with my friends again, because if Secondary, Serayne, Desolate, and Smolder weren't in DD, I probably wouldn't have applied, if not just for the fact that I would have no one to back me up. I could really care less about loot or anything. The reason for my timing infact is that previously I had thought that if I HAD applied, I would have gotten an immediate no, but I thought now, things had cooled down enough for me to have a snowballs chance

Peanutbutter, I know we have had our differences, and I know I have been nothing but an asshole to you and your guild, but I am truly truly sorry for anything I might have ever said to slander you, Jelly, Como (whom I will no longer refer to as Homo, I promise), or Damage Done/Dogma. Yet, if you do decided to decline me, I will humbly accept and understand, and continue to respect the Damage Done name. I'd be MORE than happy to sit down and talk with you, PB, or anyone else in the guild that has problems with me, and talk out our differences and for me to answer any questions that anyone may have.

I deleted all of the useless bullshit in this thread, can we try to help the applicant out here? It doesnt look good on either end with page after page of nonsense. Keep it to vouching for the guy or having any input regarding the application.

You have a lot of support in this thread from your friends, and there's something to be said about them putting their own necks on the line to give you a shot, but in this case, the bridge has been burned too severely and too soon for us to let it go.

Ultimately, it's the fact that we're just not convinced that you're a completely changed person after only two months.

I understand, but doesn't everyone deserve a second chance? In all reality, and I mean not to undermine your leadership, whats the WORST that could happen? I fuck up and get gkicked (I.e. Moklep, Earthenscar, Charlamage). Honestly, the possible benefits HIGHLY outweigh any negative possibilities. And I understand you find it hard to believe I had such a personal revolution in 2 months, but like I said earlier in the thread, I had several chances to really look at my life and realize how much I've fucked up. I know its not up for consideration, but I thought I should at least share some closing thoughts

I never claimed it was an immediate change, I didn't go to sleep one night saying "LOLOLOL U GUIS SUK" to waking up the next morning saying "Wow, I've really fucked up". I've been wrestling with the being an asshole thing since I was 16, but time and time again I found that it was easier, regardless of the consequences, but just in the past few months, its all caught up with me.
