Your raid talent spec: 18/43/0 http://www.wowhead.com/?talent=bxrGzhZsxtccoqVuVo
I'm sure there are some things to be tweaked here but its served me well.

Your relevant stats for raiding:
1921 +healing unbuffed
11.99% holy crit
0 spell haste
451 Mana regen every 5 seconds while not casting
228 Mana regen every 5 seconds while casting

Your raid experience: I've done all of Kara, ZA, Gruul, Mag, up to VW in TK but thats pretty much it. I've read up on the BT fights in brief but plan on reading up on them more.

Acknowledgment of agreement to our rules and times.: I agree to the rules and can make all raid times Very Happy

A short guild history.:
I've been the GM of Guns for Hire since i started playing WoW its pretty much a progression guild full of IRL friends.

The reason you are applying to Damage Done: My guild currently has no need for the healing services of my priest, and when they do the healing assignments are rather mundane and I'd like to join a guild where I'm challenged.

Finally, tell us in one or two sentences why you would be a good addition to Damage Done.: Hmm, because holy priests have cool things like fear ward, circle of healing. Other than that I know overall DD is a very well put together and organized raiding guild. So I thought why not. Oh and I like to prance around in Warlock t2 recolors.

With sex and stuff.

On a rare serious note, I'm curious as to why you put a point in Holy Nova and Searing Light instead of going 2/2 Holy Reach for the increased range on CoH. Also, why go 2/2 Martyrdom, 2/5 Silent Resolve, and snag Lightwell instead of aiming for 5/5 Mental Agility? Expecting to be crit in a PvE environment?

Considering the incredible buff spirit has received recently, I am curious as to why you would use +9 Healing/+2 mp5 gems instead of +9 Healing/+4 Spirit or ever +8 Spirit. You gain even more of a bonus to while-casting regen from your Primal Mooncloth it as well as a bonus to healing from the Whitemend set bonus though you haven't socketed to receive the extra intellect from your socket bonuses either. Do you usually raid with the Darkmoon Card: Twisting Nether or do you have another healing trinket like the Badge Trinket or the Ribbon of Sacrifice from Kara? While there is nothing unforgivably horrible about Aran's Soothing Sapphire, I am curious that you haven't picked up the relatively cheap badge upgrade in the Voodoo Shaker. Are you working towards maxing your enchanting skill to have access to the +healing ring enchants as well?

Many bosses we do have a considerable amount of raid-wide damage they are able to deal, as well as simply random aoe. Do you have alternate gear sets to give you a boost to stamina around 10k without horribly nerfing your ability to heal effectively?

This seems to imply to me that you potentially have other characters that you will be leaving in Guns For Hire if you are accepting to DD. Please elaborate.

Unexpected app, Tom's a good guy/healer, I'll vouch for him.

I suggest you take Ich's advice, he knows his healy priest stuff.
p.s. We are still waiting Peter.

The competency of Ich's post brings tears to my eyes. No, really, it's almost good enough to pass for one of my posts! And as much as I love martyrdom, I am going to agree with Ich on this point as well. While it may be ok for 5-man dungeons and soloing/farming (in which case, why are you holy?), if you get crit in a raid environment not getting focused casting will be the least of your problems.

To reiterate and rephrase Tak's query, are you still the GM of GFH?

P.S.- I am going to assume that the lack of enchants and "Darkmoon Card: Twisting Nether" are representative of new gear/transitional period. Confirm?

Here i've tried to answer all of the questions to the best of my ability, feel free to ask more and give more advice, I enjoy having some real advice about holy priests Smile

Hmm, that does make sense, as I said my spec could be improved I know, I've just never been presented with an alternative. (then again I haven't done a whole lot of research concerning what the perfect spec of a holy priest is, however I'm aware there are a few different ways.)

I was gemming the gear out to the best of my ability, I didn't have any holy priest advice so I was never sure what kind of gem to put in, +9 Healing/+2 mp5 versus +9 Healing/+4 Spirit.

As for the Darkmoon Faire card I don't normally raid with that, I have the ribbon from Kara but I've been trying to get the card to test it out since I was curious if it could come in handy. I have yet to see. As for the badge upgrade for an off hand the only excuse i have there is that my healing/mana regen seemed alright for what I was doing so I didn't see a reason to upgrade. Also, I am working to max out my enchanting for the ring enchant. That just takes time.

I could probably get a stamina set relatively easily but I don't have one off hand specifically geared for that right now.

Yes, I still would have characters in GFH. I've got a rogue, warrior, and hunter who are all in the guild. I am still the GM of GFH but I am one of two, the guild is structured (as best I could) to share power between me and a friend of mine. Under us there are a number of "champions" who do a very good job running it if I'm not on.

I agree completely, its good for when I'm getting hit but assuming the raid is good enough I shouldn't be. I could see throwing those points elsewhere, as with other points in my spec.

As I stated before this is a trinket i Just got and I was curious if it would come in handy at all so I'm in the process of testing it out in 5 mans and kara and things like that. The reason for this is because with improved death I die twice, so perhaps it'd help. Perhaps not, I have yet to see.

I've known Thomas since third grade and he's a top-notch healer when he isn't tanking (his warrior Tinyus) or dpsing (his rogue Evye/hunter Dianne).

He also has some pretty nice LOLSMITE gear. He's gotten pretty much every piece of gear that anyone hasn't wanted from ZA/Kara so his shadow set is really quite solid (T4/T5 level), though some of it could use gems Wink

Rumor also has it that his mother will give you epics if you ask her nicely.

Since the last patch the position is that Spirit > Everything for the most part. The advice is all over the net provided you take the time to look for it and websites like elitistjerks.com can help drastically improve your decision making abilities as far as both itemization and overall technique are involved. I have the Portals Deck myself though rarely use it outside of a PvP environment anymore since it can rack up my repair bills rather quickly and generally the idea is to not die in the first place.

I'd suggest farming some honor to simply replace the three pieces of Primal Mooncloth with S1 or S2 Arena gear and maybe a few of the lower stam pieces as well. You will very rarely be without Fort, MoTW, and Kings so don't go too crazy getting 'Of Stamina' greens and throwing stamina enchants on them.

Also, can you craft/enchant anything special?

My mother also makes very good food. In fact i had some last evening.

And having dome some quick calculations I could get the honor pvp pieces to replace my Primal Mooncloth in a week probably. Perhaps less.

So you're going to stay GM of your old guild?

I would yes, but save promoting people past the level of GM, (which three other people hold (and technically is one rank under my own rank for creating the guild)) and withdrawing money from the guild bank the guild does a good jump of running itself, save a few people.

I've got the executioner enchant but other than that I can't craft anything extremely interesting (At least in my opinion)

We are going to have to delince your application Furbish. We are pretty set on priests in our raiding crew right now and will not have you running another guild with this character in ours. Thank you for applying.
