PostSubject: [APPROVED] Doomhorn - Beast Master Hunter   [APPROVED] Doomhorn - Beast Master Hunter I_icon_minitimeSun May 25, 2008 4:30 am

Before I begin my application, I would like to introduce myself. My name is Adam (though I prefer to go by Doom or DH), and I am a 23 year old college student who has been playing WoW for over three years. Doomhorn is my main and only 70, as I have tried hard to focus my efforts on mastering the class I chose at the very beginning. I know I have a great deal left to learn, but I am excited and motivated to continue in my quest for hunter mastery. Anyhow, before I bore you all further with my idle chatter, I shall begin.

Raid Spec - 41/20/0 BM/MM
http://www.wowhead.com/?talent=ctbM0gxRwuVoVVbRV

Relevant Raid Stats:
Attack Speed - 1.97
RAP - 1811 (1966 AoH)
Ranged Hit - 143
Crit Rate - 30.08%
Weapons Equipped - Vengeful Gladiator's Waraxe, Crossbow of Relentless Strikes

Raid Experience:
Completed Karazhan and Gruul's Lair numerous times, Magtheridon's Lair, and some ZA. While I have seen the first five bosses in ZA, as yet I have only beaten the first two. I have battled Lurker Below in SSC, but was not victorious. I realize there is a large gap between my raid experience and the content this guild is currently working on. I have been studying and familiarizing myself with the boss fights in Mount Hyjal and Black Temple. I am also a quick learner, and have no problems understanding instructions or following orders.

Acknowledgment of Rules and Raid times:
I acknowledge, agree, and will adhere to all guild rules and regulations. I can guarantee my ability to make 2/3 raid nights weekly with 100% reliability, but typically can be online for 3/3. I have no qualms in playing from the bench, I believe a strong bench is important, and would be happy to fill a backup role. I take raiding seriously, as it is a commitment and responsibility to one's teammates.

Two major upgrades to your gear for your class/spec from MH/BT, and why they are a large upgrade:
Softstep Boots of Tracking: Would be an excellent upgrade all around over my current PvP boots, in ATP, Int, Hit, and Crit. The additional hit rating would give me more flexibility with the hit rating on my other gear.

Halberd of Desolation: While having less crit rate than the Vengeful Gladiator's Waraxe, the additional ATP and Agility would be a huge boost. Again, the high hit rating on the item would give me great leeway with hit rate on other items.

A Short Guild History: (in chronological order)

The Imperial Fists: A friendly guild I was in for a very long time. I eventually left to pursue PvP objectives with friends in another guild.

Insult to Injury: Another friendly guild where I did a great deal of PvP. Left due to distinct lack of remaining members, and a wish to pursue PvE objectives.

Waldorf: A friendly guild where I started doing Karazhan. Left due to irreconcilable differences.

Bloodletting: A raiding guild where I was an officer. Left due to impending guild breakup which has since occurred.

The reason you are applying to Damage Done:
I am applying to Damage Done because I have the overwhelming desire to be part of a solid guild that is actually going somewhere. While raiding has importance to me, I feel the sense of community and camaraderie a good guild offers is far more important. Most of all, this is what I am seeking.

Finally, tell us in one or two sentences why you would be a good addition to Damage Done:
I always come more than prepared for raids. I often carry buff foods for classes other than my own, and a variety of useful engineering items to assist in any way I can. A friend in Bloodletting used to call me "The Lunch Lady" and "Swiss Army Doom". I carry those seemingly silly titles with pride. I always try to use every skill I can to contribute to the raid and to the guild. No matter what, you can always expect 110% effort from me.

Thank you very much for your time,
Doomhorn

It's the weekend and we're kinda busy getting ready for Council attempts, so don't expect much buzz until Monday, but we will get back to you.

I have two quick Qs.

1) Can you elaborate on "irreconcilable differences?" We abhor drama so let it all out now rather than us find out later.
2) When you say 2/3 100% of the time, usually 3/3, what day is sometimes in question?

1.) Being a guild of mostly RL friends, I was an outsider there. A couple members did not take kindly to me, and went out of their way to antagonize me. I did not appreciate the way they were treating me, and left. I am still friends with other members of that guild to this day. The day I left the guild, the members who were giving me problems stopped bothering me for the most part, so it's really a dead issue. It's been many months since then.

2.) No real problem day, I was just saying I could guarantee that I could be available for 2/3 all the time, 3/3 most of the time. As a college student on summer break, my schedule is quite flexible.

I hope that answers your questions, please let me know if you have more.
