Is it possible to lay myself off and collect unemployment while having a "severence package"?
ie. Lay myself off and collect the unemployment but stay working and give myself the lay off severence package at the same time.

pffft. The overburdened unemployment system does not have enough oversight right now to properly monitor spending. Besides if I get laid off with a severance package I don't even know if it is illegal to collect unemployment. Hence the question of any CPA's .
