Because Blizzard FUCKEN SUCKS. Telling us of a patch and then deciding to not release till months later.

I'll agree with you on that point. I'd much rather not hear about a patch and upcoming content until the day I go, "Oh! Look at that... it's Tuesday and I have a new patch to download. I wonder what could be different now."
