Does anyone else play Guild Wars? I just remembered I had it and started playing it again, and will probably be on pretty actively until Lich King comes out.

I played this game since it was released, and I played it pretty seriously. I was in a bunch of top 100 GvG guilds, and 1 top 10. I quit playing a while ago though because most of the competitive scene was losing interest and a lot of my close friends who played quit. It's an excellent competitive game, the pvp is top notch, but it plays a lot different than WoW. It's more like an RTS, which turns a lot of WoWfags off, but it's a fucking good game. Pretty much the best times I ever had playing a game, high end GvG is an absolute blast.

WTS: Guild Wars Account

http://wiki.guildwars.com/wiki/User:G0t_w00t%3F
Please take note: last updated 10/21/2007

I can probably update that, though. All characters are level 20 and have beaten at least one of the releases (I believe). If I am not mistaken, all characters are wearing 15k armor from one of the releases. Some have multiple sets.

Anyone interested? Will take WoW gold, under-the-table cash and/or under-the-table sweet nothings.

Please reply promptly.

James and I also played through the release of prophecies and factions, but factions was gay so we quit. We went back a few times and couldn't get into it since we were way behind on all the skills that had come out and shit. We have three accounts between us, one of which is collector’s edition, with full double level 20s of every class up to factions, all 15k armor except James' monk who had some fissure gear, and what used to be rare weapons. James was really good at pvp and I sucked as usual, but good times.

If James ever wanted to go back to it I'm sure I'd play with him, but I do not foresee this in the future.

p.s. I found this cool SS just now

Como, you're kind of like me in that whatever game you play, you always play a Warrior (whereas I always play a Hunter/Ranger/whatever)

Pretty much, warrior is win. Ranger was the first character I rolled in GW, then monk, then my warrior. In pvp I mostly played warrior or whatever frontline char we rolled like a bunnythumper or w/e.

One of the awesome things about GW is you can play anything, in my heyday I'd have to say I was pretty fucking beast at any class/role, but I was best at/enjoyed the most playing warrior and monk in pvp. After that I really liked necros (particularly death) and mesmers. Only thing I didn't like playing was elementalists, fucking boring.

I think I have lvl 20 pve ranger, monk, warrior, necro, and assassin. I might have another but I can't remember.

But GW pvp isn't really about the individual toons, it's all about the team build and how you execute it.

I rather enjoyed playing a Touch Ranger in PvP. Don't think it was too viable in GvG or AB if I remember correctly, but it was fun as hell to see people get so pissed at me. Btw, did I mention I want to rid myself of the game? It's eating up over a gig of space on my HDD and I haven't logged onto the game in well over a year. Hmm... speaking of, I probably have some birthday presents waiting on me.
