Throwing aside the blithering retard guise for a second, I have a question for all fellow nerds. I'm thinking about getting my A+ Certification just for shits and giggles (and in case my writing career falls through). What does it cost, and is there any reading material you would suggest I read up on? I took some of the practice questions, and the only parts I had any sort of trouble with were networking questions (not my strong suite).

http://www.amazon.com/CompTIA-Complete-Certification-Docte-Quentin/dp/0470145609/ref=pd_bbs_sr_1?ie=UTF8&s=books&qid=1222626659&sr=8-1

Found that on Amazon, think that would be any good. Also, I think I've decided to go into IT instead of writing, and just write on the side. So what are some other certifications I should aim for?

A+, CCNA, MCSE to start. Practice is worth more than reading the books though.

Well like I said, I KNOW most of it, I just need to know what is on the test so I can be prepared.

I remember some co-workers saying the exam cost several hundreds of dollars, but this would have been 3+ years ago.
