| Currently, my Mage's name is Pompyro and it will be changed to Chrisjub when I transfer. I'll be transferring to your server whether or not I get accepted to your guild, so, I'll be seeing you guys around at some point. So anyway... PVE Talent Spec - 2/48/11 Armory Link - http://www.wowarmory.com/character-sheet.xml?r=Darrowmere&n=PompyroStats (Unbuffed) HP: 8163 (sigh @ mage pve stam) Damage (appropriate schools): 1207 Fire damage (1287 with Darkmoon Card: Crusade) Mp5 (while casting): 95 with mage armor which is ALWAYS up for every boss. Hit: 162 Crit: 30.85% Haste: 5 lawl... just leftovers from when i re-gemmed out of haste. gotta put a crit/dmg back in that one. Do you have The Medallion of Karabor? - Yes A shadow resist set for Mother Sharhaz? (any pieces?) - Yes, I'm exactly SR capped (295 before buff) What is your trinket set-up? Do you need any obvious upgrades? (DST, HSH, etc?) - I use Darkmoon Card: Crusade and HSH. Where are you from? (do you speak/understand English well?) - Ohio. yesh i speekie englich How old are you? - 26 Do you have a mic/headset for vent? - Yes Do you have Grid, XPerl, PallyPower, or some other UI that helps you buff, pick up loose aggro, etc? - Yes, plenty of addons for all my needs. My favorite addon allows me to mouse-over any buff and the tooltip will tell me who doesn't have that buff. Helps me re-int during raids. Raid Experience - Been raiding on this mage for about a year now, progressing from Kara all the way to downing Illidan a few times. Guild History - Negative Progression of Darrowmere Acknowledgment of agreement to our rules and times - Yes Preparedness for the next scheduled raid, unless stated here - Yes Reason(s) for applying - NegPro stopped raiding, etc, etc. I want to keep raiding. Plus my gf applied so I figured, why not! Final Thoughts, why you would be a good addition to Damage Done - I can make those raid times with no problem, so if I'm accepted you can guarantee I'll be online and ready. In a whole year I have missed only 1 raid, and that was for my 6-month anniversary with my gf. I see myself as a pretty good player (pve-wise). I always try to do what's right as long as it's within my power to do so. I don't care about loot or being top damage. I don't have an e-peen, I'm not an e-thug, I cause no e-drama; in fact I stay as far away from drama as possible. I just like to play the game and play it well as best as I can. | |

| I have some concerns about your gem and gear selection... Helm: 10 spell crit, what the fuck? cloak: why that one isntead of the haste badge one? and why the balls did you get spell pen, might as well get 120 armor. bracers: wat? get bracers of nimble thought. those are just bad :/ armory not working.. cant critque your gear any further.. but i will....eventually anyway your damage is fine, but as a t6 fire mage, haste is much more valuable. here's some math for you to like, calculate the worth of gear this is for t6 level 2/48/11 mage. Stat Relative DPS Values 1.00 Damage: 1.23 Crit Rating, 0.82 Haste Rating 1.00 Hit Rating: 1.62 Damage, 1.99 Crit Rating, 1.32 Haste Rating(until cap'd and then it's worthless) 1.00 Crit Rating: 0.81 Damage, 0.66 Haste Rating 1.00 Haste Rating: 1.23 Damage, 1.51 Crit Rating in other words, in t6, damage is good, but assuming 1.1k+ dmg, haste wins for gemming and in gear selections over damage and ESPECIALLY crit. - Quote :
- Mp5 (while casting): 95 with mage armor which is ALWAYS up for every boss.
...why.... - Quote :
- Haste: 5 lawl... just leftovers from when i re-gemmed out of haste. gotta put a crit/dmg back in that one.
.... NEVER gem for crit. and see above for haste- related gemming - Quote :
- I'm not an e-thug
why not? if you're like me and dgaf about lots of text, here's a nice tl;dr never gem for crit get hit capp'd and then gem for haste. preferably passively hit cap'd within your gear so you never have to gem for hit.

| Well look at the bright side, I can always re-gem to haste again. Why mage armor? Because 0 mana = 0 dps. I rarely had a spriest in my group in my previous guild. Hell, we rarely had a spriest PERIOD. Why spell pen? Why not? It has about the same use as all the other cloak enchants for casters; almost no use at all. I'm guessing I'm expected to have Subtlety. While I agree it's the best enchant to use, it's not like anyone should be over-joyed to enchant it. 2% less threat? So, for every 100,000 threat I produce I can reduce it by 2,000? Which is about a fireball crit. 100k ALL the way down to 98k. /yawn I do have nimble thought and I do plan on re-gemming back to haste. I already discussed that with Z before I even transferred. I was going to do that last night but I had no time since I got an unexpected invite to the raid only 5 minutes after my x-fer went through. | |

| Armory is working... piece by piece... Helm: that gem needs to be like, just destroyed. it makes me want to cry. Shoulders: i disagree with 2 12 sp. dmg seeing as to with your...minimal.. haste, 2 10 hastes would be a bigger dps upgrade. Back: this needs to be changed. imho you need to get the cloak off prince in kara. it's 3 more damage, and 18 more hit, letting you gem out of hit and into haste. if you cant get a kara run,(just pug one) at least get the badge-haste back. i dont think it's been hammered into your head enough, so ima say again, haste>dmg>crit. Robes:again i disagree with dmg over haste but all in all, if you get alot of haste elsewhere the gemming is fine on this. Tabard: octopus vs rising sun...? Bracers: we talked about this already OH: could get something w/ hit like chronicle of dark secrets so you wouldnt have to waste time gemming for hit. If not Fetish of the Primal Gods or even flametongue seal is a dps upgrade over what you have on right now. Wand: don't have one w/ hit on it? the one in SSC or BT? Rings: no luck with RoaK's in all your time in BT? band of eternal sage is pretty terrible. that ring is fine till you get either hit capp'd elsewhere, another roak, or the ZA timed chest ring. Boots: meh, it's a toss up between these/badge boots, i use badge ones because i can gem for haste and get socket bonus of sp. dmg which is better IMO but in the end up to you. Pants: having those and gemming for hit makes baby jesus cry. Belt: gem choice is poor really, couldve gotten 2 blues for meta in a better spot. Gloves: hit... meh - Quote :

we run 2 spriests on almost every single raid, i never want to see you use mage armor ever again. except maybe mother. mage armor on me atm is 89 mp5 while casting. thats one fireball every 20 seconds. With kings/wisdom i think it got up to like 146 mp5 last night. SO not worth it. i havent done or seen any math behind it but i'd be wiling to argue molten armor is better mana regen w/ master of the elements. i look forward to seeing how your new gear setup turns out.

idk, but I did the exact same thing. Look where I am now. Not tanking. Too bad they can't just take him as a casual and tell him to respec to heal like they did with me.
