I am currently only applying as a back up. Im from another server but would like to transfer to yours. My heals are currently 2114 but im working on my rep so i can get ring chants then i will be able to trade some of my healing gems for spell crit.

questions:
- Medalion of the Horde
-I havent started this chain, but only because im not sure where you pick it up.
-um.... holy pallies dont need shadow resist too do we?
-well i dont have fire resist but im an aldor blacksmith so i can make one if needed...but ive never tanked b4 so it may not be a good idea to have me respec
-i use the bagde trink and the Scarab from BM.. it's a blue item but there is only one upggrade i will trade it for and its the one from illidan
-im from California and and well im pretty sure i speak english
-im 20 years old
-yup sure do have a mic (ZOMG female on vent... couldnt resist)
-I use Pallypower, many have asked me to use Xperl, so i tried it and i never will again... it slows my heals emensely. i also you OMEN and DBM.

I've got a few questions about your gear:

First off, you have an 11 healing 5 spirit gem in your shoulders, spirit is all but useless for paladins, so why not 11heal/2mp5?

Why don't you use 12int and chance to restore mana meta? That meta alone is a huge amount of mp5.

As a general tip, yellow sockets should always be 8 or 10 crit, and heal/int should never really be used, its not a huge deal as lots of paladins do it, just throwing out the tip.

Your shield doesn't have an enchant, 12int isn't really expensive so i'll assume its a new shield for now.

Lastly, vitality is a good enchant but we usually prefer people having boars speed, it helps for a few fights.

TL;DR you have plenty of +heal and mp5, work on your crit next. touch up on the few things i mentioned and your gear will be good to go. Applying as back-up is probably a good thing since we recently had a prot pally start healing full time.

well if you read what i had typed im just working on getting the ring chants then im going to fix ALL my gems i know they are messed up as to the spirit one it was given to me by a friend when he quit wow (he knew nothing about pallies). I will be replacing them.. and as to the shield chant yes its new and the boot chant i just did the cheaper one i didnt know which was better. TY for the advice its much appreciated!

Good to hear, fix those gems and snag a few upgrades from za/badges and your gear will be just fine.

A few upgrades for you:

Girdle of Stromgarde's Hope from Hex Lord in ZA. Throw a teardrop and a Royal (or 2 royals) in it and its on par with the belt I use from Hyjal. You will lose 4mp5 but gain crit and healing.

Greaves of the Penitent Knight from Kael'thas in heroic MgT. Toss a royal in the blue and a gleaming in the yellow. You'll end up losing crit but theseboots really blow the kara ones away.

Kharmaa's Ring of Fate from Kael'thas in normal MgT. Not a huge upgrade. toss in a teardrop gem and use it instead of the Violet Signet.
Signet of the Quiet Forest one of the 2 rings I use. Its a big upgrade from either of your rings. It drops from the 3rd timed chest in ZA, if you have a chance of snagging one, do it.

Season 4 Gloves 1,125 arena points. Really really nice gloves. You might lose healing and you will lose some mp5 but the crit would help you a lot.

As far as bracers go, Vambraces of the Naaru cost 35 badges and you would gain whatever you put in the socket plus some armor and a little healing. I REALLY recommend Guardian's Ornamented Bracers, they cost 11k honor and 20 warsong marks. You also need a 1575 arena rating for them but they are well worth it. They are on par with the bracers I use, just toss in a spellcrit gem and you are good to go 'till Kalecgos.

Try and get the cloak from Prince to replace yours, not a big deal but it will help a little.

The SSO neck is okay since you are aldor, but if your looking to replace it check out Brooch of Nature's Mercy(ZA) or Guardian's Pendant of Salvation.

I think there are some badges legs that are an upgrade for you, and I think you already told me you were getting them, so you are okay there.

Mask of Introspection Bear boss in ZA, Teardrop/Gleaming/Royal gems in it. I used this mask forevvveerrrrrr ('till I got T6)

Spaulders of the Advocate Great shoulders from Lynx boss in ZA. Pretty much the same as T5.

yea i know about a few of those upgrades and plan on working towards them soon. but as to the arena ones i cant get those. i use a laptop and wireless, plus no mouse. So trying to arena is bad... i atempted once i died within 5 secs each time. I dont mind BGs but i cant arena til i get a better computer and a mouse. Most of the upgrades ive tried for before but damn if they will drop for me, i was using an off-hand instead of shield for the longest time because none would ever drop finally got irritated and and spent a day in avs and eots and got the s2.

Do you play in bed? Even still you could put something down. A usb mouse would work just as well on a laptop as it would a home puter.

yea im gonna get a roller ball gaming mouse soon but right now i have alot of bills to catch up on. so soon ill have one but i will need to get more pvp gear before i can arena. Btw i really appreciate the advice guys!

ok i changed my gems to crit gems 1 epic and 2 rare! it dropped my heals to 2080 but raised my crit to 14.38%. Im also getting the bors speed chant as we speak, and then i will be getting the last of my rep with the shatar to get my ring chants. so ill keep you posted on what my heals change to!
