| Your raid talent spec. 12/0/49 - http://www.wowarmory.com/character-talents.xml?r=Gorgonnash&n=Shadowriver Your relevant stats for raiding. - Unbuffed: 1206 +dmg, 165 spell haste, hit capped. The Medallion of Karabor? - None. Will work on it. A shadow resist set for Mother Sharhaz? - None. Will work on it. What is your trinket set-up? - Icon of the Silver Crescent (main) - Timbal's Focusing Crystal. (main) - Battermaster's Audacity. - Medallion of the Horde. Where are you from? (do you speak/understand English well?) - Canadian Chinese. Slight accent. How old are you?- 28. Do you have a mic/headset for vent?- Yes. Do you have Grid, XPerl, PallyPower, or some other UI that helps you buff, pick up loose aggro, etc?- Recount, Omen, Groupcalendar, DBM, Itemrack. Raid Experience- Full clear: Kara, ZA, Gruul, Mag. - Other bosses: VR, Leotheras, Vashj, Aqeous Lord, Archimonde (failed with Rehab). Guild History- Guns for Hire: 18 months. Left guild after the last non-GM geared active player has left. - Dazed and Confused: 2 weeks. Joined mainly because they have some real life female players in there. Acknowledgment of agreement to our rules and times- My availabities: - M-F: 5 PM to 12 PM. - S-S: All day. Preparedness for the next scheduled raid, unless stated here- Tell me what bosses you're after and I'll hit the books. Reason(s) for applying- DD is a professional raiding guild with tight policies and scheduling. - I have some friends in DD that I miss a lot. - I love raiding and I love the feeling of conquering a boss after numerous failed attempts. - I love guild with all geared players who do not ask dumb questions in gchat. Stupidity, unlike genius, has no limit. Final Thoughts, why you would be a good addition to Damage Done- I am a dedicated Shadow priest and I have spent more than a year on this spec. I play my role very well as a raider. My gears / spec are made purely to bring mana to the group. I use mana pots / oil / food / flask / elixirs to boost my performance. I provide very good support to the casters. - I pay great attention to details. i.e. Rebuff the new rez'ed, watch for my position and others, heal the tank when all healers are dead, bubble the ones who are low, help dispelling proactively, etc. - I can provide excellent leadership. I have a Pally tank alt and I have organized my own kara / za group for several times with full clear. I form my own group for almost every 5-men instance. I am good with solving the player conflicts. - I am carrying a T5 holy set in my bag so I can switch to that (using Itemrack) instantly when I am drinking to shorten the down time. - I also have a full epic stam / pvp set in my bag for boss fights where more stam is critical (hex, for example). - I am a very active heroics runner so I can help keeping the guild memebers occupied during non-raiding hours. - I am very friendly towards others and I have great respect to geared and dedicated players. - After you have reviewed this application, if I get a "please fuck off", I will try again later, because you said "please". | |

Just had to lol one more time at this. On a serious note, I fully vouch for Shadow, as I've run with him numerous times in Heroics, KZ and ZA. VERY good player for his class and would definitely be someone I would love to see in our raids, at the very least for a trial. I give my full recommendation to him and throughout all the times I've run with him, I do not ever remember once seeing him make a mistake that cause a wipe in a raid, even in Heroics. /vouch ~ Sean

| I think he's from the Edmonton area, though I could be wrong. It's one of the central provinces, at least. Winnipeg, Edmonton, or Calgary, and I think it's Edmonton. | |

| Hello and thank you for your interest in our guild. Overall your app looks very good. I do have some questions however, and I'd like to start by nitpicking your talent spec: While there isn't a whole lot you can change, I do have some questions for your discipline tree, primarily regarding your mana efficiency and the three points you have in Silent Resolve. While I have seen Shadow Priests go 3/3 Imp PWS or 1/3 Imp PWS and 2/2 Martyrdom, I have never once seen any of them pick up 3/5 Silent Resolve. This obviously isn't a game breaking issue, but as we are headed into Sunwell Plateau we need everything and everyone to be as optimized as much as possible. What made you decide to pick up Silent Resolve? Further, I am a little concerned about your 1/3 Meditation. Again, it is nothing serious, but if I were you, I would strongly consider dropping my Shadow Power to 4/5, and possibly my Shadow Weaving to 4/5 as well. Once you start getting T6 level gear your hit rating will skyrocket and it will be pretty easy to drop Shadow Focus, but in the mean time, do you find yourself having any problems in sustained fights? I can't imagine not having 3/3 Meditation. I noticed you have skinning as one of your two professions. I remember we had talked about this in vent, and I was wondering if you'd be open to changing it up a bit. If you have the mats for training leatherworking, I highly recommend picking it up so you can start working on making and using drums of battle. There is no other profession that comes anywhere close to providing the raid and DPS benefit of Leatherworking. This link should get you started (if you are interested). Hit me up in game if you decide to pursue this course of action. I'll answer any questions you have and may even help you get together some of the materials you would need. I remember looking at your PvE setup, and it definitely looked well put together. I'm trying to review it now, but you are logged out in your PvP gear. Can you fix that? All in all we are definitely interested in adding another Shadowpriest to our raiding lineup. Your schedule looks wide open, which is good because as a Shadow Priest we will have a spot for you on every raid night, on almost every fight. Be ready to hit the ground running today at 2:30 (35 minutes from now!). I highly recommend a quick review of Illidan. See you soon... P.S.- Your avatar is pure win. | |

| Just my two cents but yes, your avatar is made of win and awesome.
Also, I dropped to 2/3 Meditation (0 Inner Focus) when I went to 4pc T6 + Leggings of Channeled Elements and I suddenly had to start drinking potions again very regularly. Considering my gear at the time was a good head and shoulders above yours, I'm not sure how you can sustain good DPS with your spec. I'd recommend what Zyzzx said: keep hit maxed (it's easy to get more hit with T6 which allows you to start dropping points in Shadow Focus), and then drop points in Shadow Power (for now) and 4/5 Shadow Weaving.
1/3 Meditation would probably not be sustainable for a geared shadow priest like Zyzzx, so I suggest you take his advice spec-wise.

| Finally! I've only ran with Shadowriver once, and I pretty much fell in love with him. We will make sweet priest love. Now we can have an Asian Canadian, a French Canadian, and a Jackass Canadian.
Oh, and he's kinda good at his class too.

P.S.- Your avatar is pure win. Why Silent resolve - Back in my Guns for Hire time, due to the lack of guild healers, sometimes I am needed to heal Heroics. Paying 50g everyday on respeccing is not an option. Thus I maxed this talent and healed all heroics with my healing set while I am in full shadow spec! Sad, I know. My current talent is designed mainly for 5 men / 10 men. I've tested it that my mana runs out at almost exactly the end of every boss. Z and Peanut have nailed it - yes, at the moment my mana efficiency is too low for 25 men raids. Thus I have already respecced to raiding talents to buy more mana with slight dps offset. Please find my new talents here: http://www.wowarmory.com/character-talents.xml?r=Gorgonnash&n=ShadowriverRegarding my very unique profession - skinning. It was purely for money making purpose. I will develop a new profession in WOTLK to bring more benefit to the guild, if that is acceptable. And I truly appreciate the tips on leatherworking. I've bookmarked the page given. My wow armory is accurate now. It has my pve gears and the new talents. Now I am going back to the Illidan vids. Unfortunately I will not have time today to learn the Hyjal boss fights before our raiding starts. I will do my best at the Illidan fights. "You're not prepared!" /facepalm
