In case I don't get accepted as a prot paladin, peanutbutter said you were also looking for a ret paladin I believe.

Just wanted to know if my gear would fit the bill.

http://www.wowarmory.com/character-sheet.xml?r=Gorgonnash&n=Rishana

ignore the enchants, as they are more for pvp and wouldnt mind changing them into more pve friendly enchants.

as for how my talents would go they would look something like this.

http://www.wowhead.com/?talent=s

I am also 10 points over my hit cap, so I felt using the pvp gear was alright for the raw stats and crit bonus they give.

You are Holy on Armory ATM, and you submitted an empty talent spec. Your Ret gear is respectable and I'm impressed that you are looking into Seal twisting. Aside from the pvp enchants the only thing I;m gonna nag you about are your gems.

Basically, you want 8 or 10 str in red sockets, yellow should be 5str and 5crit and if you need a blue socket for a good socket bonus 5str 7stam.

This is a link to the best PvE Ret talent build.

Edit: Keep the 24 ap gem, and use the 12 crit one as well if you have it.

(The 24 ap gem actually adds 32, apparently)

Removed some unnecessary posts (at the behest of the posters). Carry on.

I forgot to click the link on my talent setup so you could view it, but what you mentioned above about being the best pve talent setup is exactly what mine looked like.

as for the gemming and such, I gem red=10 str, yellow= 10 crit, and blue= 5 str/7 stam. Although when im ret, i usually run around with about 40% crit chance. My libram gives about 4% crit, and when mongoose is up, which it usually is, that gives me another 5%. So I could start going for the 5/5 crit/str gems for yellow for that extra str.

the gems and enchants are little lackluster, as I spent most of my epic gems and enchanting supplies on my tanking set.

As for seal twisting, it isnt that difficult, although I will admit I just started, but I have a swing timer that tells me how many seconds and such till my nest swing. So pretty much when the pretty green bar tells me I have .2 seconds until my weapon swings, i switch seals to blood, then back to SoC.

Overall good responses, you'd get a little more dps if you used hybrid str/crit gems for yellow sockets especially since your crit is so high, but all in all I approve of this paladin.

You had a fantastic night, all things considered. Welcome aboard.

Note: I still can't promise you'll be prot full time.

If nothing else, your ret theorycraft is superior to your prot theorycraft. I'd like to see how perform in-game. Also, welcome to the guild.
